A NEW chief fire officer has been appointed by Northamptonshire County Council. Martyn Emberson, aged 47, will take up the post in December, moving from his current role as deputy chief fire officer for Nottinghamshire.
He said: "It is an honour to be asked to lead an organisation that is so highly respected by the public and other fire and rescue services."
Mr Emberson, who is married with two children, will replace the current chief fire officer David Archer, who is retiring.
