A FOOTBALL match is being organised in memory of popular milkman Pete Hawkins, who died in March.
The inaugural match for the Pete Hawkins Memorial Shield has been scheduled for Sunday at Brackley Town Football Club, kick off 2pm.
The match will be between a Phil Lines Invitation XI and Oxford Veterans - last season's national over-35s champions.
The Invitation XI will include former Leicester and Manchester City player David Oldfield, and the Veterans will feature ex-Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa star Gary Parker.
The match official will be Banbury's premier league referee Dermot Gallagher.
At half-time, cheques from the Pete Hawkins Memorial Fund will be presented to Katharine House Hospice, Brackley Town FC, Banbury United FC, and The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
