ACTOR Sir Ben Kingsley joined hundreds of people who donned Santa suits to raise cash for a north Oxfordshire hospice.
A total of 460 runners and walkers signed up to take part in Katharine House Hospice’s inaugural fundraising Santa run in Spiceball Park, Banbury.
Sir Ben officially started the run, which has so far raised £24,845.
There were two events on the day — a 1km walk at Spiceball involving 60 people, and a 4km fun run, twice around the entire park which saw 400 people take part.
Sue Lane, fundraising manager at Katharine House Hospice, in Adderbury, said entrants ranged from three months to 85 years old.
She said: “Many supporters were walking and running in memory of loved ones “The sun shone, the snow and ice melted and we had a fantastic morning. “
