VICAR of Dibley actor James Fleet will officially open Katharine House Hospice’s fete on September 4.
Mr Fleet, best known as Hugo, will open the Adderbury-based hospice’s first fete since 2004, for what promises to be a fun-filled afternoon.
There will be entertainment from the Chipping Norton All Stars Jazz Band, Morris and Highland dancing.
Face painting, pony rides and a children’s fairground will keep the little ones amused, while a host of stalls and refreshments will keep the adults happy.
Elsewhere a Shirehorse-drawn covered wagon, called Sydney’s Exploditions, will also offer rides.
Sheila Norton, hospice corporate fundraiser, said: “There are many staff and volunteers who have worked hard to bring about our fete and we hope to raise a significant amount towards the ongoing work of Katharine House. We warmly welcome supporters old and new and look forward to seeing you all for a fun afternoon between 2pm and 5pm.”
Entry £1, with parking provided by the Harper family at land opposite the hospice, in East End, Adderbury.
Anyone who wants to donate £100 for first prize in the raffle, or a tombola prize, should call 01295 812161.
