Beaver Scouts from 1st Grimsbury Scout Group have raised enough cash to build an entire house for a family living in the third world.
The group, based in East Close, raised £1,350 from a coffee morning and Cub Scout ‘Scrap Heap Challenge’ where they built shelters from cardboard boxes.
All the money has been donated to Habitat for Humanity UK which will be spent supporting the reconstruction in Haiti following the devastating earthquake in January.
