PEOPLE with pulling power are being sought by Banbury Cherwell Rotary Club.
Men and women with muscles are required for tug-of-war teams at the club's annual family fun day and beer festival in August.
For the third consecutive year, the event will be at Banbury Cricket Club's ground in Bodicote with the key aim of raising money for local charities.
In addition to the popular tug-of-war challenge, attractions will include live music from Radio Horton and local bands, a bouncy castle, face painting, pig roast, junior five-aside football, under-13 six-a-side cricket, Owls Galore, Sea Cadets, air ambulance with a mock helicopter, fire brigade, Hook Norton Brewery's horse and dray, balloon man, vintage cars, and charity stalls.
Event organiser John Rathbone said: "The planning is over, bands are booked, and football and cricket teams established but we are still on the look out for tug-of-war teams.
"2005 saw a fantastic turn out. It was an outstanding family day and the event has become a major attraction, drawing in all generations of people to enjoy great music, lively attractions, delicious food, and an amazing selection of drink."
Admission will be £3 for adults and free for children.
Proceeds from the festival, on August 28, from noon to 6pm, will go to Rotary charities including Katherine House Hospice.
