A BAG snatcher got away with a small amount of cash after he attacked a 79-year-old woman in a pub car park.

The victim was walking past the Paddocks pub in the Cherwell Heights area of Banbury when a man demanded she hand over her bag.

When she refused, he grabbed it and ran off down Teal Close. The incident happened at 11am on Thursday of last week. The bag was found in Western Crescent the next day.

PC Siobhan Cook said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen a small silver car in the area at the time, as we believe this could have been used by the man."
