Wroxton House Hotel has been accredited with a bronze award by the Green Tourism Business Scheme. The hotel, based in the village of Wroxton, has recently been refurbished. Owner John Smith said: “This was a great achievement in a building dating in parts to 1649 — long before insulation and carbon footprint were ever thought of — and showed the utmost commitment from all the staff. It is hoped that we will achieve a silver award by the next inspection.” The hotel was runner-up in the customer care small hotel award at a recent Best Western conference in Cardiff.
