LOCAL people will be able to give their view on plans to regenerate the town’s canalside area.
Cherwell District Council will host a public exhibition in Castle Quay on November 14, between 9am and 5.30pm, for people to see the proposals.
Last month, Cherwell’s executive agreed to back plans for the area which could see 1,200 new homes, shops, offices, a primary school, and two multi-storey car parks for the nearby railway station.
But the proposals are dependent on a £13m flood-prevention scheme, which is still at the planning stage.
Michael Gibbard, Cherwell’s executive member for planning and housing, said: “The council’s vision is for a vibrant mix of housing, shops and commercial buildings that will invigorate the centre of Banbury.
“This is a chance for everyone to let us know what they think of the plans.”
