A man was in intensive care after falling from a second storey window in Calthorpe Road, Banbury.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was sitting on the window ledge when he fell into a basement access three stories below.
Fire crews were called to help move the man from the basement last Friday, June 28.
He was taken to hospital suffering a broken wrist and possible head injuries.
Witney Station manager Chris Wilson said: "We were called to assist the ambulance service as it was difficult to get him out of the basement area as he was on a spinal board.
"It was a miracle he didn't land on his head."
