PEOPLE are being reminded a raft of free fun takes place in Banbury town centre this Sunday.
Town Mayor's Sunday, now a firmly established annual event, is set to be bigger and better than last year.
Landmarks including the town hall, Banbury Cross, St Mary's Church and People's Park will all come alive with a host of events across the day.
The fun kicks off from the town hall in Bridge Street at 12.20pm with a procession led by Lord Robartes Regiment of the Sealed Knot, followed by the Air Training Corps band.
Festivities will move to People's Park where there will be a children's nursery rhyme fancy dress competition and annual Hobby Horse Championship.
There will also be a chance to try out a host of Jacobean activities, put your friends in the stocks, or see life in a Sealed Knot encampment.
Mayor Ann Bonner said: "I encourage all local businesses, pubs, sports groups and organisations to field a team in our adult hobby horse races. All you need are three or four fairly fit but wacky friends - we provide the hobby horses."
People should either turn up on the day or call the town council on 01295 250340.
