A BANBURY charity is looking for sponsors for its annual fishing competition.
The town's Citizens Advice Bureau is hoping to raise much-needed funds with the help of local people and businesses.
Held at Grimsbury Reservoir on Saturday, June 28, between 9am and 2pm, the contest is open to anyone over 16.
It costs £10 to enter with under 18s free and there will be a host of cash prizes up for grabs during the day.
People can help raise money by sponsoring fishing pegs at £30 each or donating prize money.
Organiser Colin Henson, a CAB volunteer adviser, said: "We held the competition last year and it was a great success so we plan to make it an annual event.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for people to show how good an angler they are and at the same time help Banbury CAB. We are really looking forward to the event."
Money raised will be used to train volunteers as advisors and maintain its vital service.
Last year, Banbury CAB dealt with over 11,500 enquiries, including requests for assistance with employment, debt, consumer and benefit problems.
