CHINNOR have signed former London Welsh back Chris Elder for the 2019/20 season.
The 26-year-old will join the National League 1 club from Greene King IPA Championship side Yorkshire Carnegie.
He has made more than 100 appearances in the second tier of English rugby and played in the Premiership for Welsh in 2014/15.
Elder previously featured for Chinnor’s first team as a 17-year-old while with the Wasps Academy.
He said: "I have a number of friends already involved with the club.
"Having played here as a youngster I'm really excited to be heading back to Kingsey Road in a full circle in order to keep playing rugby at a high level within such a great environment that Matt (Williams, director of rugby) has created.
"It feels like a really exciting time to be at Chinnor and I hope I can add to the history."
Elder added: "I've had a great career to date.
"Earlier in the season I decided this would be my final season in the full-time game, allowing me a chance to enter into a long-term career that would challenge me in new ways and build something beyond my rugby playing years."
