OXFORD Rhythmic Gymnastics’ Espoir team finished fourth at the British Championships.
The youngsters were unlucky not to claim a spot on the podium, achieving 30.550 points compared to A & V Rhythmic’s 31.250 in third.
The six teams competed with a free routine and a ball routine at the Telford International Centre, with Oxford in the mix in both events.
They finished third in the latter, with London-based A & V again pipping them by virtue of scoring 13.550 to their 13.500.
Oxford still earned a medal for their exploits, though, while they were fifth with 17.050 in the free event.
They are scheduled to compete at the Bath Cup from June 23 to 25.
