OXFORD City suffered late heartbreak as Jordan Young’s stoppage-time penalty gave Chippenham Town a 1-0 win in Wiltshire.
The Vanarama National League South clash appeared to be heading for a stalemate when Lewis Miccio was ruled to have fouled Alefe Santos in the box.
Young kept his cool from 12 yards to condemn City to back-to-back defeats.
The conditions were a leveller from the start, with neither side getting on top.
Will Henry was called into action just before the break, saving Josh Ashby’s free-kick and thwarting Klaidi Lolos.
The Chippenham goalkeeper denied Aaron Williams-Bushell after the restart, although Santos nearly put the hosts ahead when he fired straight at Ben Dudzinski.
Young then fired just past the post, before Lolos drove forward and shot wide of the target.
Chippenham were getting closer and Charlie Rowan produced a last-ditch clearance to deny Santos, but City could not hold on.
Miccio was deemed to have fouled Santos as he stopped the Brazilian on the line and Young snatched victory.
Elsewhere, North Leigh reached the Emirates FA Cup second qualifying round with an impressive 3-1 win at AFC Stoneham.
Jordan Thomas and Levi Steele put the Millers 2-0 up early in Hampshire, before the hosts pulled a goal back.
Jordan Alves scored in second-half stoppage-time to seal victory in the first qualifying round replay.
They face Plymouth Parkway next Saturday after the Devon outfit struck late to beat Didcot Town 3-2 in their replay.
Goals from Connor Barrett and Taylor Bedwell had hauled the visitors back from 2-0 down.
