OXFORD United Women eased to victory over Tottenham Hotspur Under 21s in their latest pre-season friendly.
The U’s won 4-0 at the RAW Charging Stadium as Daisy McLachlan, Sophie Baker, Cat Beaver and Carly Johns got on the scoresheet.
The friendly drew a healthy crowd of 218 and United will hope it sets the tone for increased attendances throughout the season as they look to capitalise on England winning the 2022 Women’s Euros.

The U’s began brightly and had a golden chance to take the lead when Lily Stevens reached a loose ball marginally ahead of a defender and was tripped in the penalty area.
McLachlan casually found the bottom corner from the spot as Spurs goalkeeper Alice Russell stood motionless.
The stopper smothered a close-range shot from Baker to stop United adding to their lead before half-time.
The U’s were home and dry within six minutes of the restart as they struck twice in quick succession.
Baker beat Russell when a rebound fell her way, before Beaver drifted away from her marker at the back post to head home a free-kick.
Johns completed the scoring with 15 minutes remaining, taking the ball past the Spurs defence and coolly finishing into the corner.
