OXFORD United are waiting to see if they have to attend a court hearing this morning.
Kassam Stadium landlords Firoka filed a winding-up petition on April 3 over the late payment of the quarterly rent and service charge, which is in the region of £200,000.
The Oxford Mail understands the debt was settled earlier this month, but the petition, which did not have any other creditors attached, is yet to be withdrawn.
The court yesterday confirmed legal action was still active, meaning as things stand, United will appear after 11am.
However, should they have to attend it is expected to be a very short hearing before the case is dismissed.
It is the latest in a series of winding-up petitions United have had to fend off since Sumrith ‘Tiger’ Thanakarnjanasuth took over in February 2018.
After Firoka filed the petition, United issued a statement which said they had been trying to set up a meeting with the stadium company and Mr Kassam to 'find a fair deal for all concerned and for the club to work with a fair stadium agreement going forward'.
Mr Kassam did not respond when contacted by the Oxford Mail.
