ROB Hall says he will do anything he can to stay at Oxford United.
The winger, who is out of contract this summer, enjoyed a ten-minute cameo appearance in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Doncaster Rovers after battling back from a serious knee injury.
The 25-year-old had been sidelined for around eight months, undergoing an operation after featuring in United’s opening two games of the season.
Hall has battled back to fitness and admitted getting onto the pitch before the end of the season was a huge psychological boost.
With his contract expiring this summer, the former West Ham trainee knows his future with United is in the balance.
But Hall is clear as to where he wants his football to be played next season.
“It has been very hard, both mentally and physically for me,” he said.
“I have probably frustrated a lot of people at the club by being injured, but the fans have stuck by me and the team and I was just delighted to get out there and show people I am still alive.”
He added: “I have got a good team here behind me and they helped me through it all.
“That is why I want to stay here – but that’s up to the club.

“I think everyone knows where I want to be.
“I have had meetings with the gaffer and he wants to keep me, it’s just what works with the club and I respect that.
“I know it has to be a business decision as well as a footballing one.”
Hall has been unlucky with a number of serious injuries in recent seasons.
But as well as the support of the backroom team at United, the club’s fans have played a big part in keeping him positive about the future.
“I love it here,” he said.
“I love the people that work here and have got a great relationship with the supporters.
“I want to prove that I can play how I did before. I don’t want to do that anywhere else and I can’t express that enough.”
He added: “This is like a second home town for me.
“I can’t get any simpler, I want to play here.
“Whatever I have to do to stay, I will do that. I have already started to do a few things and that’s all I can do. It’s up to the club now.”
Hall admitted it was a close call as to whether he would ever play professional football again.
And that, he admits, is why Saturday’s appearance meant so much.
“A lot of people don’t know the actual statistics of my injury,” he said. “But it was very close to me not playing again.
“So just being able to run and being out there you cherish a bit more because those things can be taken away from you in a click.
“I know it was only ten minutes, but it was a big thing.”
