AHMED Kashi's second dismissal this month will incur a three-game suspension, the Football Association have confirmed.

It was thought the Oxford United midfielder, shown a straight red card against Shrewsbury Town on Monday, would be hit with a four-match suspension.

He was sent off against Walsall earlier this month, but it came via a second caution for running on the pitch after he had been substituted.

With only two matches of the season remaining, Kashi will still not play again this campaign.

But the reduced ban would have an impact if United's attempts to bring him back from French club Troyes are successful this summer, as he would only miss the opening game of next season.

Karl Robinson does have two players back from suspension to face Doncaster Rovers this weekend.

Simon Eastwood was only hit with a one-game ban for his dismissal against Charlton Athletic on Good Friday, while Marcus Browne's three-match sanction has now been served.
