IVO Pekalski has left Oxford United by mutual consent.
The 28-year-old's contract was due to expire at the end of this season.
It ends an unhappy spell for the Sweden international, who departs without playing for the first team.
Most of last season was wiped out by a cruciate knee ligament injury which he suffered in his first training session after signing.

Head coach Karl Robinson: "We wish him luck, there’s no animosity from me whatsoever.
"At the end of the day he’s a human being with a family to support and you wish him well with that.
"But that’s the cruel part of the game that you may have to make decisions that may affect people’s lives."
After returning to fitness last year, Pekalski was loaned to former club Halmstads.
He missed just one league game, due to suspension, making 14 appearances in the Superettan, Sweden’s second tier.
