SUMRITH ‘Tiger’ Thanakarnjanasuth says he wants to foster better links with Firoz Kassam once the long-running arbitration is put to bed.
Proceedings over a disputed service charge at the Kassam Stadium from landlords Firoka have been halted, but a final settlement is yet to be finalised.
In September, Kassam, right, claimed the club owed £600,000 for the service charge and declared relations with United had hit an
all-time low as he responded to comments made by Tiger at a fans’ forum.
Work has gone on behind the scenes since to repair some of the damage and the U’s chairman is hopeful of improving the link.
He said: “I think after we stop the arbitration then we will be able to talk more
than during the arbitration period.
“Now we are dealing with them to agree on the previous service charge.
“We cannot come to an agreement or the date yet, but we’re working on the date for the old service charge.”
He added: “At this moment we have to build a good relationship with the stadium company.
“They lost a good relationship for the last ten years and we’ve tried to bring it back.
“A good relationship
means better terms, everything that can make this club better.”
