CAMERON Norman has left Oxford United to join Sky Bet League One rivals Walsall for an undisclosed fee.
The right back only signed for the U’s eight months ago from non-league Kings Lynn Town, penning a two-year deal with the option of a third.
But he has made just nine starts for United, with two substitute appearances.
He has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Saddlers.
With Jamie Hanson now United's first-choice right back and Sam Long seen as the back-up, Norman has been pushed down the pecking order.
And boss Karl Robinson says with his opportunities of first-team action likely to be limited, both parties agreed to he ply his trade elsewhere.
“Cameron has had to be patient but feels he needs to be playing regularly, something we can’t promise him, so it works for all parties to let him move on," the U's boss said.
"It hasn’t quite worked out for him but we wish him well at Walsall.”
