KARL Robinson says Oxford United are close to signing an ‘experienced’ winger.
The return to parent clubs for loanees Brandon Barker, Elliot Lee and Mide Shodipo has left the U’s short on natural width.
Coupled into that trio’s exit is the likely departure of Rob Hall.
With options limited, Robinson has made signing wingers a priority.
So much so, he believes United need four – with one set to arrive soon.

“I think we need four wingers – we don’t have any at the football club,” he told BBC Radio Oxford’s Wasn’t At The Game.
“We’ll hopefully have a wide player done, I’m expecting a medical this week.
“We’ve agreed close to what we need to agree with an experienced player.”
Hall is a free agent this summer, however Robinson has said it is possible he could return.
Speaking about it previously, Robinson said: “He has been an outstanding servant to the club but we recognise that he needs to be playing regular first team football.
“I am sure another club will snap him up but if not then we will be monitoring the situation closely.”
