OXFORD Brookes University once again starred at Henley Royal Regatta.
For the second time in three years, Brookes won the Ladies’ Plate and Temple eights trophies – with their plate crew also the quickest on finals day, beating the Dutch under 23 boat in a time several seconds quicker than the British national eight.
Henley’s Leander Club won the Queen Mother Challenge Cup and Fawley Challenge Cup, a combination of Leander and Brookes lifted the Stewards’ Challenge Cup.
Headington were just denied glory in the Diamond Jubilee Challenge Cup.
Their crew of Trudie Marks, Victoria Gothard, Alice Van Onselen and Claudia Rossington were beaten by Latymer Upper School in the final.
