AFC Hinksey stayed on course for a unique treble with a 2-0 win at AFC Jericho in the Critchleys Upper Thames Valley League's Hedley Toms/Michael Brown quarter-final, writes TIM SIRET.

Adam Doyle finished off a Lance Williams cross in the first half and Alex Fasoranti wrapped it up after the break, dispatching Jelroy Constant’s pinpoint cross.

Now Hinksey, who are already through to the Devenney Cup final and stand second in the Premier Division, face Barton United in the semi-finals next week, with Kidlington Royals awaiting the winners in the final on April 15.

Paul Hedger’s stunning 40-yard strike dented Rover Cowley’s Premier Division title hopes as the leaders fell to a 2-1 defeat at Barton United.

Gary Elkins had put Barton ahead from a corner only for Rover to equalise.

Hinksey were also indebted to a tremendous performance from goalkeeper Billy Geddes, who made a number of superb stops.

Sam Gordon’s late winner boosted King & Queen Wheatley’s Division 2 title hopes and at the same dented those of leaders Cholsey United in a 3-2 win.

Jordan Reid had fired King & Queen ahead, but Paolo Di Pasquale levelled for the visitors.

Chris Allum then put Cholsey in the driving seat, but they were pegged back by Elliot O’Brien, before Gordon gave King & Queen all three points.

Rich Willans’s last-gasp 35-yard drive gave Saxton Pirates an amazing 5-4 win over Sutton Wanderers.

Pirates had raced into a 4-0 lead through Rob Cattell, Paul Brewerton, Josh Gilsenan and a Dan Maughan volley, before Mike James pulled one back before the break.

And in a frantic 15 minutes in the second half, Wanderers drew level with strikes from Ben Wright, Luke French and Chris Stringer only for Willans to leave them shattered.

Checkendon Exiles staged a late rally to win 3-1 at home to Red Lion Islip and keep alive their hopes of beating the drop.

Michael Truby fired Red Lion in front, but Tristan Allen equalised after 70 minutes, and Ryan Langrish and Alex Hurn gave the hosts victory.

Zubry Oxford’s Division 3A title hopes suffered a blow with a 1-1 draw at White Horse Abingdon, who started the game with nine men.

Tomasz Serednicki fired Zubry ahead in the tenth minute, but Russell Comley took advantage of a defensive mix-up to level early in the second half.

Abingdon Exiles ended their two month-wait for a win with a 3-2 victory at Northway Boys & Girls.

James Gardner, Ben Parry and Leigh McKiernan netted to keeper Exiles’ promotion hopes alive as Barry Gray’s brace proved in vain for Northway.

Jamie Dutton hit a hat-trick in The Tree’s 9-0 thrashing of hosts Long Wittenham in Division 3B.

Jonny James’s double, Adam Hogan, Ant James, Tom Eatwell and veteran James Rose completed The Tree’s tally.
