ABINGDON Exiles won 4-2 on penalties after their first round tie at Pangbourne Res ended 0-0 following extra time.
Ally Wolfe, Chris Parsons, Adam Godwin and Rob Lucibello netted from the spot for Exiles, who would have gone through earlier if Dean Godwin had scored his penalty in normal time.
FC Hagbourne also needed penatlies to progress, triumphing 2-1 in the shoot-out after they were held to a 3-3 draw by nine-man Theale following extra time.
Kevin Williams, Aaron Scully and Adam Brown scored in regulation time for Hagbourne, with their two successful spot-kicks coming from Andrew Lawson and Flinn Crabbe.
