Kings Arms Wheatley were breathing a sigh of relief after hanging on for a 5-4 victory against Kidlington Royals in Division 1 of the Autotype UTV League.
Neil Lockhart gave leaders Kings Arms the lead after 90 seconds, before Benji Cuff smashed in from ten yards to double their lead.
Luke Cuff made it 3-0 when he poked home after Royals failed to clear a corner.
After the break, a Tim Wyatt brace and a Richard Wells strike brought Royals level.
Kings Arms restored their when Benji Cuff slotted his second from Jay Hill’s cross and it looked all over when Luke Cuff chipped home his second.
But Richard Wells pulled a goal back to set up a nerve-wracking finale.
Billy Beechers hammered a hat-trick for Barton United in their 8-3 thrashing of Oxford Yellows.
Barton strolled into a 5-0 lead at the break, with strikes from Colin Ryan and Liam O’Callaghan supplementing Beechers’s treble.
A Jelroy Constant double and a Colin Ryan strike made it 8-0, before Rocky Whiting (2) and Elliot O’Brien hit back for Yellows.
AFC Hinksey moved to second with a 7-0 win over lowly Standlake Garage, with goals from Toby Webster (2), Craig Bloomfield, Anaclet Odhiambo, Denial Thomas, Jamel Thomas and Micheas Herbert.
Bay Tree Grove eased to a 3-0 victory against AFC Cowley.
A Paul Jezzard double and a Jake Rowe strike sealed the points.
In Division 2, Rutherford got back to winning ways, beating Wallingford Exiles 3-1, thanks to a brace from John Hawkins and a Chris White strike.

Donnington maintained their unbeaten run in Division 3A, with a 3-0 win over Northway, thanks to goals from Craig Gilbody, Lewis Colwell and Tyron Willett.
Mansfield Road continued their good form with a 5-3 win over Leys Wanderers.
Jon George led the way with a double, with Dace Kay, Alex Heath and Joel Lazarus completing their tally. Chris Peck and Lee Jackson hit back for Leys.
