PUNCHBOWL Pirates sank Leys Wanderers without trace to reach the final of the Autotype UTV League's Alan Alder Trophy, writes Tim Siret.

Pirates thrashed their rivals 12-0, Luke McIntosh leading the way with a hat-trick.

Liam Barson and Reece Blatherwick hit doubles, while other strikes came from Mark Cook, Ross Tabor, Shaun Gilsenan, Chris Wilkins and an own goal.

In the final at Abingdon United on Sunday, May 3, Pirates will face Railway Wheatley, who beat Woodstock Wanderers 2-0 in the other semi.

Tyrone Willett put through his own net, after pressure from Tom Williams, to give Railway the lead and Tom Cross superbly lobbed the second from 30 yards, after being set up by Jordan Reid.

AFC Cowley and Dorchester United are now vying for the Division 1 title after defeating rival contenders.

Cowley had a 5-1 win at fancied Kings Arms Wheatley, who suffered their first loss for two months.

Aaron Barrett was again on target with a brace, while Cowley's other scorers were Charlie Bough, Craig Tho-mas and Wayne Sinclair.

Dorchester extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches with a 3-1 win over OUP Wanderers.

They raced into a three-goal lead, courtesy of Barry Hayden, David Smyth and Lee Allmond, OUP's Richard Wells replying late on.

Division 3A leaders AFC Woodfarm suffered a hangover from their previous week's cup triumph, losing 4-2 away to their only realistic rivals for the title, Wootton & Dry Sandford.

Jon Dunbar, Mark Uttley, Thomas Larman and Jack Ganna-Powell all netted in a super performance.

Ben Green grabbed a double for the visitors, who need to win three of their last four fixtures for the title.

Shelley Arms won a nine-goal thriller 5-4 at home to Berinsfield Rebels.

Jamie Tatam scored twice for Shelley, with Simon Pratley, Dean Boyles and Mark Willmott also on target.

Rebels were always in it thanks to strikes from Aaron Stockford, Martin Rawlings, Lewis Moss and a spot-kick that was converted by John O'Neill.

Clanfield 85 went two goals down at Iffley Harriers and had veteran Gordon Jago dismissed for two cautions, but still managed to win 3-2.

Harriers were flying after strikes from Mark Oxenhan and Jack Barrett, but Dan Hill's goal and a double from Craig Mays completed a fine comeback.

In Division 3B, Wallingford Wanderers ended JET's super undefeated run that started before Christmas with a 3-0 home success.

Martin White set up Pete Ashman for Wanderers’ first, before Liam Woods struck home from 30 yards and Luke Higgins wrapped up the points.

Wanderers must win all their remaining six matches to oust Kennington, who will still have to drop points, for that to happen.
