Barton United secured their second successive Marston's Oxford Sunday Premier League title with a 7-2 win over Highfield.
Despite controlling most of the first half, Barton could not find the back of the net as the visitors defended resolutely.
However, ten minutes into the second period, Ryan Curtin eventually found the net with a fine lob to open Barton’s account.
Highfield rallied and equalised virtually from the restart, but this only stung Barton into action as Julian McCalmon headed home a Curtin cross.
Curtin snatched his second and Jelroy Constant also netted to put the home side 4-1 up. Highfield continued to battle and pulled another goal back, but Barton accelerated away again as Constant snatched a second then Ben Armstrong and Colin Ryan netted to secure the points and the title.
Oxford Yellows secured the runners-up slot with a 7-3 victory over third-placed Cold Arbour with debutant Kyle McCoy notching a five-timer.
Damien Perks and Craig Hudson completed Yellows’ scoring with headers.

In the League Cup second round, Northway could only muster the bare 11, but will still too good for Cowley Rovers, running out 5-0 victors with goals from Shaun McDonagh, Gareth Williams, Peter Hall, Richard Walker and Simon Drewett.
