MANSFIELD Road recorded their first win of the season after a 4-1 home victory over Highfield in the Marston's Oxford Sunday League, writes GEOFF BOWER.

Having lost their opening four matches, Mansfield raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Fran O'Neill and Faisal Bamahrez.

Ryan Dudley's header spurred Highfield into life, only for Bamahrez and Rikki Dean to seal victory.

Carl Bloomfield hit a hat-trick as Barton United made it three wins from three after coming from behind to beat Cold Arbour 6-2.

Mark Flanagan put Arbour ahead, only for Bloomfield (3), Ryan Curtin (2) and Aaron Armstrong to make the game safe.

Delroy Thomas scored Arbour's second late on.

Yellow Eagles were another side to record their first win of the season, beating Cowley Rovers 4-3 in a remarkable Division 1 game.

Goals from Zubair Shafique (pen), Alex Free and Russell McSweeney put Cowley into a 3-0 half-time lead.

But debutant Kenny Hale gave Eagles hope, before Richard Morgan's brace – including one penalty – and Seb Cowley sealed a great fightback.

Northway never recovered from a disastrous start as they lost 7-4 at AFC Hinksey.

Jerome McCalmon and David Jennings grabbed two apiece for Hinksey, who led 4-0 after just 20 minutes.

Martino Ventrigula, Gavin Preston and Marlon James scored the others, with a Gareth Williams hat-trick and Peter Hall strike in vain.

Cold Arbour Res and AFC Boudika drew 2-2.

Alex Fasoranti and Jelroy Constant scored for Cold Arbour, who had Jordan Gray sent off, with Kelvin Gale and Oliver Zaja on target for Boudika.
