Chris Thomas was the hero as Robin Hood beat Didcot Casuals 1-0 to retain the Ridgeway Cup in a cracking final at Wantage Town, writes TIM SIRET.
Thomas scored the only goal in an edgy first half.
Darren Tasker's right wing cross was only partially cleared, and Sam Bowers set up Thomas to fire home.
The second half brought a catalogue of chances for both sides, but Hood keeper Matty Claridge and his opposite number Joe Betteridge made a host of fine saves.
Three times, Betteridge tipped goalbound shots away, including a free-kick from Ben Davies which was touched on to the bar.
It was Robin Hood's third victory in the cup, the first being in the inaugural year of 1983.
They now contest the Devenney Cup final against The Bell Grove, having thrashed in-form Goodlake Arms 9-2 in the semi-final.
Dorchester United secured a place in the semi-finals of the Alan Alder Trophy with a 4-1 win at home to Childrey OHB.
Colin Royall grabbed a double for Dorchester, with Brian Rawlings and Martin Young also scoring. Joe Harvey hit the Childrey consolation.
In Division 1, Standlake Garage upset the odds with a 3-2 home victory against high-flying Kings Arms Wheatley - sweet revenge for the 8-1 drubbing in the reverse fixture.
Garage's strikes came from Dan Harwood (2) and Chris Bennell, while Darren Smith replied twice for Wheatley, who had two players sent off late on.
OUP Wanderers are just one win away from the Division 2 title following their 5-0 demolition of a depleted Abingdon Exiles.
Ellis Bicknell hit a hat trick for Wanderers, including a penalty and a 35-yard volley. Andy Payne netted the others.
Wallingford Exiles are heading for promotion after a 6-0 success at CR Marks Kirtlington. Steve Rowan, Andy Turner, Mark Littleford, Jon Murby and Matty Peates were among the Exiles scorers.
Goodlake Arms continued their push for Division 1 football with a 4-2 home win against Research Machines.
Jon Srawley grabbed a double for Goodlake, while brothers Tom and Mark Pryde also netted. RM's strikes came courtesy of a Stu Coppock double.
Long Wittenham came back from a two-goal deficit to beat Allbrite 4-2.
Allbrite's Ash Watson scored both first half goals, but Garsington's famous slope took its toll as a Danny Osborne double, a 25-yard strike from Stu Morrison and a goal from Ryan Scott turned the tables.
