Favourites AFC Cowley were ambushed 4-3 in extra time by Robin Hood in the Autotype UTV League's Ridgeway Cup semi-final.

Despite Charlie Bough hitting a hat-trick and AFC Cowley holding an early two-goal lead, the Division 2 promotion hopefuls bowed out to the Division 3A championship favourites.

Bough scored two quick goals to put Cowley ahead, but Ben Davies reduced the deficit with a well-taken free-kick.

Panic in the Cowley rearguard then saw a defender put through his own net to make it 2-2 at half-time - and that is how it remained.

In extra time, Dean Mays fired home another free-kick to put Robin Hood ahead, but Bough completed his hat-trick with another super finish.

However, the game was settled when Cowley conceded yet another free-kick on the edge of their box.

Dean Mays's effort was blocked, but the ball fell to his brother, Craig, who reacted the quickest to fire home the winner.

Robin Hood will meet Didcot Casuals in the final, after they beat JP's 3-0 on penalties after the sides were locked 2-2 after extra time.

Keeper Joe Betteridge was the shoot-out hero, with two saves and he also thumped home a spot-kick of his own.

JP's took the lead on 25 minutes with a deflected goal from Paul O'Sullivan.

Lewis Monaghan levelled with 20 minutes to go, and Casuals then deservedly went in front when the unfortunate James Campbell put through his own net.

JP's threw on sub Michael Shaw, and he popped up with a late equaliser to take the game into extra-time.

With neither side able to find a winner, it was left to Monaghan, Betteridge and Simon Pritchard to beat JP's keeper Darren Spayes and secure victory.

In Division 2, Goodlake Arms held leaders OUP Wanderers to a 2-2 draw.

Mark Pryde and Anthony Cover scored for Goodlake, with Wanderers' goals coming from Johnny Richards and Dave Jerrams.

Paul Jezzard's four-timer gave The Bell Grove a 4-0 win at leaders Brightwell Rebels in Division 3B.

Mark Shelton scored the other.
