Barton United eased to a 3-0 win over an understrength Star Wanderers in the Marston's Oxford Sunday League Cup semi-final, writes GEOFF BOWER.

Lewis Hornblow cut in from the right and fired home a low shot to give Barton a 15th-minute lead.

A defensive mix-up in Star's defence just before the break allowed Ryan Curtin to nip in for Barton's second.

Star battled back in the second half, but Carl Bloomfield sealed victory for Barton when he ran on to Liam O'Callaghan's through ball to shoot home.

Now Barton face Oxford Yellows - 3-1 winners over Cricketers - in the final at Oxford City on April 6.

In Division 1, Wayne Desmond smashed a four-timer as Cold Arbour Res fought back to beat Wychwood Forest 6-3.

Desmond opened the scoring after 15 minutes, but Chris Herbert equalised for Wychwood before the break.

Chris Jordan's strike and a Frank Berlingham penalty saw Wychwood storm ahead in the second half.

But Desmond converted a spot-kick and then completed his hat-trick to haul Cold Arbour level.

Germaine Morris then skipped through Wychwood's defence to put Cold Arbour in front, and Alex Fasoranti and Desmond's fourth sealed victory.

Nick Skiller hit a hat-trick as Chalgrove avenged their defeat by Northway in the Jack Sadler Cup semi-final with an emphatic 4-1 win.

Northway could raise only the bare 11 and they fell behind midway through the first half when Skiller rifled home a loose ball.

Skiller fired in a second from close range just before the break, before completing his hat-trick in the second half.

Dubious penalty decisions at both ends saw Calum Clewer net for Chalgrove and Nick Bayliss for Nothway.
