BARTON United are just one point off the top after defeating Oxford Yellows 3-1 to maintain their 100 per cent record in the Marston's Oxford Sunday League.
They have now won eight games out of eight, but their record looked under threat when Ronnie Kababwe gave Yellows a half-time lead.
Christian Perkins drew Barton level with an extraordinary goal on the hour mark when he volleyed home from virtually the half-way line.
This appeared to knock the stuffing out of Yellows, who soon found themselves behind when substitute James Ford scored from the edge of the box.
With five minutes remaining, Liam O'Callaghan sealed the points when running through and firing home.
In Division 1, leaders Cricketers extended their advantage over the chasing pack despite a below par performance at Yellow Eagles, Craig Taylor grabbing a brace to secure all three points in a 2-0 win.
Wychwood Forest just held on to their first-half advantage to defeat visitors AFC Boudika 4-3.
Wychwood were 4-1 up at the break and cruising to victory thanks to doubles from Evan Boland and Chris Herbert.
But Boudika battled back and goals from Devere Riddlers, Aaron Williams and Moses Ochala almost snatched a draw.
Chalgrove stole the points with a goal at the death to beat Northway 2-1.
Nick Skiller put Chalgrove ahead, but Rich Walker levelled.
However, a dubious free-kick on the edge of Northway's penalty area was despatched by Tom Halliday for a controversial winner.
