Marlon James hit a hat-trick in Riverside's 7-1 romp against Highfield in their rescheduled Marston's Oxford Sunday League Cup first-round tie, writes GEOFF BOWER.

Jermain Jones (2), Dean Simms and Hassan Shah completed the rout, with Chris Nicolls replying.

AFC Watlington were taken to extra time before securing a 3-2 win at Wychwood Forest in the Jack Sadler Cup second round.

Nick Best, Jim Taylor and Joe Nathaniels netted for Watlington, with Chris Herbert and Jason Trinder scoring Wychwood's goals.

Northway overcame Yellow Eagles for the third time this season with a 3-1 victory to move into the semi-finals.

Eagles took the lead with a controversial penalty midway through the first half, put away at the second attempt by Michael Truby.

But Gareth Williams equalised within minutes, and then fired Northway ahead following another controversial decision by the referee, who awarded a free-kick against the Eagles goalkeeper for holding the ball for more than six seconds.

Northway sealed the victory when a 40-yard free-kick from Danny Goodchild was caught by the wind and dropped over the keeper's head into the net.

Alex Fasoranti bagged a brace as Cold Arbour Res beat Division 1 leaders Cricketers 4-0.

Jordan Gray skipped through Cricketers defence to slot home the opener on the half-hour, and Fasoranti doubled Arbour's lead ten minutes later.

With half an hour left, Arbour's Jelroy Constant and Cricketers' Ryan Taylor were sent off after clashing.

But Arbour remained on top, and a long-range drive from substitute Craig Bloomfield and Fasoranti's second completed the victory.

In Division 1, AFC Boudika defeated visitors Cowley Rovers 3-1.

Paul Hartley, Tommy Allen and Shane Whalley netted for the home side, with Delroy Nanton replying.
