Kieran Davis made it 4-0 five minutes later, before Highfield hit back with a double from Keith Adams and a Scott Edwards strike to trail 4-3 at the break.
But that proved the end of the comeback as Cold Arbour wrapped up victory in the second half.
Davis grabbed his second, Craig Bloomfield was on target and Jelroy Constant netted to maintain his record of scoring in every league game this season.
