John Mills fired a five-timer in Saxton Pirates’ 8-1 demolition of Blue Ball (Newbury) in the Berks & Bucks FA Sunday Junior Cup second round.
James Organ bagged a brace for the hosts, with Sam Childs also on target.
The Tree Grove defied the odds with a 3-2 win at Burghfield Reading.
Despite travelling with a bare 11, which was reduced to ten at the break following an injury to Jonny James, The Tree raced into a three-goal lead through Tom Bennett, Adam Bruce and James.
Burghfield pulled one back just eight seconds after the break and scored again to wobble the Tree, but the Grove side held on with Ollie O’Hanlon in superb form.
John Hawkins grabbed an extra-time winner for Rutherford Lab in their 2-1 home success against Tilehurst United.
Tilehurst opened the scoring with a penalty in the second half, but James Goldsby-West equalised.
