Challow & Childrey made the long trip to Leighton Buzzard Town, only to suffer the agony of a one-run defeat.
Put in to bat, Town made 171-8, with Phil Whatmore (83) and Dan Scott (43) scoring the bulk of the runs.
Ollie Dimbylow took 4-38 for Challow, who started well thanks to James Phillips (48) and then Steve Burry (84).
But Lee Selfe took his 600th Cherwell League wicket and then three more to finish with 4-58 as the visitors fell agonisingly short.

Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts, who went more than a year without losing, suffered their second defeat on the bounce after they were rolled over for just 55 at Milton Keynes Park.
Seamers James Sprittles (5-17) and Mark Roberts (4-13) proved too good for the Nondies' batsmen, only one of whom could muster double figures.
Mark Strong then took 3-20 as Park were made to work for the runs, but they eventually made it to 55-5 in the 27th over.

Another side bowled out for less than 100 were Abingdon Vale, who could manage only 87 on a wet Hales Meadow wicket against Bourton Vale.
Steven Stroud was the visitors' chief destroyer, taking 4-9 after his captain won the toss and had the easy decision to field first.
Bourton then found conditions a little easier as they reached 91-4.

Conditions at Tiddington favoured the batsmen, as the home side reached 217-9 against draw specialists Bledlow Ridge.
Prolific South African Riaan Krynauw top-scored with 74, while skipper Jon Talbot chipped in with 44.
Steve Buhagiar took 5-96 for Ridge, who batted out for a draw in reaching 146-9, despite receiving 60 overs in reply.

There was a tight finish at Dinton, where the home side lost by seven runs to Long Marston.
The visitors were bowled out for 189, which proved just enough.
