DUNCAN Talbot set a vet 65 club record at the World Indoor Masters Championships in Poland.
The Abingdon AC athlete set a personal best of 12.32secs in the 60m hurdles to finish 11th in the pentathlon with a total of 2,647 points in Torun.
Meanwhile, Didcot Runners’ Michael Suggate won the Treehouse School 10k, which starts from Cholsey.
He finished ahead of Chris Norris from White Horse Harriers.
Didcot’s Tina Wise was the first female home.
Elswhere, Anna Jolliffe scooped the best girl accolade at Bicester AC’s winter presentation evening at Highfield Social Club.
She enjoyed an impressive cross country season,
finishing third in the Division 2 of the Chiltern League.
Samuel Worfolk was rewarded for his efforts, picking up the most improved performer of the year award after a number of top-ten placings in the Oxford Mail Cross Country League.
Jago Newton shone in the under 9 division and scooped the best male junior prize, while under 11 Elsie Jacobs won the female award.
Robert Charlton landed the male prize, with Emelie Stocker earning the female accolade.
The best contribution award went to the under 15/17 men’s team, who have recently been bolstered by a partnership with Bicester Tri.
