Joe Murphy, Lewis Monahan and Matt Saunders ultimately scored in vain for Wittenham.
Faringdon Town triumphed 3-0 at Wootton & Dry Sandford thanks to goals from Liam Humphreys, Dan Hoskin and Robert Owen.
