Tiverton Tn 2

(Bushin 35, 45 pen)

Didcot Tn 2

(Concanen og 29, Haysham 60)

Substitute Pablo Haysham hit a second-half equaliser as Didcot Town preserved their unbeaten run at Tiverton Town in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West.

Tiverton dominated the first half-hour as Didcot struggled to get a foothold, with Josh Searle heading agonisingly across the face of goal.

Joe Bushin headed wide and Josh Searle tested Didcot keeper Marco Belloi with another shot as the visitors battled to hold the hosts at bay.

And so it came as a surprise when the Railwaymen forged in front on 29 minutes when Tiverton’s Josh Concanen, in his attempt to nod back into Chris Wright’s arms, nodded the ball past his goalkeeper.

Morgan Williams and Elliott Osborne-Ricketts should have added to Didcot’s lead, and they were made to pay for their profligacy when Bushin equalised on 35 minutes.

And it got even worse for Didcot on the stroke of half-time as Gareth Thomas was adjudged to have brought down Max Bristow in the area, and Bushin crashed home the resulting spot-kick.

But Didcot were far better after the break, and Haysham scored the equaliser on the hour with a low shot into the far corner from 20 yards.

Bushin almost won it for Tiveton when he headed goalwards only to see Belloli to tip the ball onto the crossbar.

Bristow followed up, but was unlucky to see his deflected effort strike the opposite post before being cleared.
