Witney producing a stunning comeback to recover from 3-0 behind after just ten minutes to beat Bracknell 4-3 in a thrillingSouth League Division 1 clash that saw Andy Gosnell hit a hat-trick.

The home side started slowly and were made to pay for three errors.

However, Witney soon calmed down and from their first short corner of the game, a well-worked move saw Gosnell deflect the ball home at the far post.

Gosnell soon reduced the deficit with his second, but although Witney had the upper hand, they had a huge let-off with Bracknell's forward hitting the bar with an open goal.

The hosts drew level when George Scriven netted after the break and their comeback was complete when Gosnell completed his treble with five minutes to go.

Debutant Rhys Cadman starred for Abingdon as they beat Harrow 6-2.

The Abingdon School pupil scored two goals and set up a third as his side recorded a much-needed victory.

Josh Tomlinson put Abingdon ahead, but Harrow equalised from a penalty flick after David Pegg played the ball with the back of his stick.

Cadman then set up Will Trigg to restore his side's lead, and then scored himself to make it 3-1.

Although Harrow soon made it 3-2, Abingdon made the game safe after the break as Cadman, Andy Ringsell and Trigg all netted.

City of Oxford suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Amersham & Chalfont in Division 1.

City had a fair share of the play in the first half, but found themselves 2-0 down after conceding goals from penalty corners.

Simon Toms pulled a goal back for City, but Amersham made it 3-1 from a quick break.

Andy Small gave City a chance by striking home a short corner with five minutes left, but the visitors held on for victory.

Rover Oxford continued their good form with a 5-3 win at Sunbury in the Regional Division.

They found themselves 4-0 ahead after just 20 minutes, thanks to strikes from Andrew Chadwick, Dan Smyth, Ed Miles and Dan Pilbeam.

Sunbury reduced the deficit to 4-2 before the break, and moved just a goal behind soon after the restart.

But when they were reduced to ten men after a nasty foul on Matthew Fisher, Smyth made sure of victory with his second.
