OXFORD outshone Gosford All Blacks in the backs to romp home 48-8 in the BB&O Premier Division.

At half-time, there was all to play for as Oxford led only 10-3 thanks to two tries from winger Kenny MacLennan, with Gosford's reply coming from a penalty by Ed Marno.

In the second half, Tom Olley increased the lead with a well worked try. But Gosford hit back with an unconverted blindside try in the corner from hard working flanker Eugene Griffin.

Now it was Oxford's turn to apply the pressure through their threequarters and the score began to mount with further tries from Dean Muir (2), Olley (2) and Mark Viner. Olley also added four conversions.

The late withdrawal of Matt Self forced Gosford into playing coach Nathan Brooks in their backline against the quick Oxford threequarters.
