Billy Turley says that it was about time he saved a penalty - and knows that by doing so he avoided the wrath of manager Jim Smith.
The Oxford United goalkeeper dived to his left on Saturday to save Glen Southam's spot-kick with 12 minutes of their FA Cup clash remaining.
And it proved a crucial stop as the U's held on to their 1-0 advantage to set up a mouth-watering tie at neighbours Wycombe Wanderers in a fortnight.
The former Rushden stopper, who has firmly established himself as United's No 1, says that he knew that he was in for a mouthful from Smith, because it was his error that kept the pressure on his goal.
