Beaconsfield 2, Oxford City 0
LEWIS Craker was sent off as Oxford City plunged to defeat against Division 1 South & West strugglers Beaconsfield, who won the game with two late goals.
Craker received his marching orders in the second half after his second yellow card, but City can have no complaints about the result.
Ray Gumbs was prominent for the home side early in the game. His first effort was blocked by keeper Lee Farrow and from a second saw his shot strike hit the foot of the post.
City, playing without any rhythm, created few chances before the break.
In the second half, the home side's Riccardo Cannon headed wide from a good position.
At the other hend, Harry Burnley forced Beaconsfield keeper Marcus Banfry into making a fine save.
Then substitute Lee Rendell's cross looked to have crossed the goalline, but the ref waved play on.
Playing against ten men, Beaconsfield broke the deadlock when Cannon, volleyed home a powerful 20-yard shot in the 83rd minute.
Less than two minutes later, Cannon doubled his and Beaconsfield's tally when slotting home a cross from the right to give his side the points.
