OXFORD United will visit Cheltenham Town in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy second round next month.
It represents a decent tie in the regionalised draw for United, who could have faced long trips to Plymouth, Torquay or Yeovil.
The game will be their second visit to Whaddon Toad in four weeks, with the league game between the two taking place on September 18.
The U's booked their place in the last 32 with a 1-0 win over rivals Swindon Town on Wednesday night.
The second round tie is scheduled to take place in the week commencing October 8.
