STEVE Naylor produced one of his best performances yet to finish fourth at the BUPA Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield.
The 33-year-old, from Woodstock, completed the hilly 10km course in 30mins 57secs, edging out Great Britain international Andi Jones.
Naylor missed the final round of the Mota-Vation Series to focus on the race – and the Bedford & County athlete did not disappoint.
He went with the leaders, including eventual winner Jonny Mellor, from the gun, completing the first two kilometres in 2.46 and 2.50.
Naylor’s pace slowed and there was a 400m uphill finish to contend with, but he said: “I was very pleased with my performance.”
