Aston Rowant remain six points behind Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League Division 2 West leaders Slough with one match to play after both sides won their penultimate games with successful run chases.
Rowant saw off hosts Falkland by six wickets, but made no gains in the title race as Slough beat Harefield by four wickets.
Falkland made 204-8 in their 60 overs, with Bruce Martin top-scoring on 52.
Chris Watling (65) and Tim Morgan (64) then led the way as Rowant reached 208-4 in 49.3 overs.
Rowant host Thame Town in their final match, while Slough visit Gerrards Cross knowing victory is the only way for them to be sure of taking the title.
