Banbury captain Ian Hawtin admitted he faced a juggling act in selecting his team to host Harpenden in Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League Division 1 tomorrow.
It is a case of five players in and five out for Banbury as they also try to ensure their second team avoids relegation from Cherwell League Division 1.
“We have had to try and balance it in terms of who can play and can’t play according to the Cherwell League rules and make sure everybody gets a game,” said Hawtin.
“It is not quite as straight forward as it might have been.
“You are not picking players on the usual merits.”
Cherwell League rules state that players cannot drop down a team in the final two weeks of the season if they have not previously played sufficient matches for that side.
Richard West is unavailable, while Eddie Phillips, Ollie Wright, James Risbridger and Jamie Coles drop to the seconds.
Adam Wirth, Jonny Cater, Ben Stafford, Josh Megson and Jimmy Phillips all come in.
Banbury: L Sabin, Wirth, Haupt, Hawkes, Cater, Stafford, Blanchard, Ryan, Hawtin (capt), Megson, J Phillips.
