Natasha Baker says that winning any medal at the Games would be a dream come true.
The 22-year-old competes in dressage and is hoping that both her and her 11-year-old gelding, Cabral, can produce when it matters.
“You just never know with young horses,” she said.
“But it would just be amazing to come home with a medal – and of course a gold one would be particularly nice!”
Although based on the outskirts of London, Baker trains at Milton-under-Wychwood with Emile Faurie, who was reserve for Great Britain’s team in the Olympics earlier this month.
She contracted a virus, Transverse Myelitis, when she was 14 months old. It left her weakened and unable to feel her legs.
“I go to Emile’s and stay for a while at a time to do intense training,” she added. “It’s just really exciting now it’s here.”
